On this blog I will post pictures of old postcards from Malaya and Malaysia, postcards are fascinating because they display the land beautifully and the way that people thought at the time. Some are painted and some are photographs, but all are wonderful. I want to show the beauty and splendor of old Malaya and how different Malaya/Malaysia was back then. These postcards will most likely be dated between 1900 and 1960, but I may post up some newer or older postcards if they are interesting. Some of these postcards will be posted on the Kuala Lumpur Old Pictorial Thread on Skyscrapercity. So enjoy!

A postcard of the Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur, this postcard is dated to the late 30's possibly 40's. You will see that it says Kuala Lumpur, Selangor. This is because at the time of printing, Kuala Lumpur was not a federal territory but rather a city in Selangor.
